ABOUT ME

Hello angels!

My name is Shelby Starr, I’m a licensed esthetician & professional makeup artist based out of Pittsburgh, PA. I’ve been a beauty & fashion enthusiast from birth, which led me to build a career doing my absolute favorite things.

After getting my Bachelor Degree in Fashion Merchandising my professional career started in corporate fashion as a freelance photo stylist. Being on set for months I soon realized I was longing to be the one doing the makeup. I wanted to hone in on my technical makeup skills and also build my beauty product knowledge.

On my journey I turned to beauty retail, working for M.A.C Cosmetics in Nordstrom and SEPHORA. Working in this environment shaped me as an artist but also allowed me to create long term relationships with my clients. Listening and helping people feel their absolute best became my goal.

Still, I wanted more. In 2021, I enrolled in North Hills Beauty Academy to become a licensed esthetician. To this day, I cherish the time that I got to learn something new everyday and now, the learning never stops. Now I get to share my knowledge with you all, solving complex skin conditions, getting creative in front of the makeup chair, or making a Bride’s vision come to life.
